Extension & Granny Annex | Melling, Lancashire

At Yew Tree Cottage in Melling, Faraday Construction project managed the transformation of an outdated single-storey extension that no longer met the needs of the homeowners.

The original structure was demolished and replaced with a much larger and more functional extension designed to improve both the layout and usability of the property.

Working closely with the architect and client throughout the build, the new space was designed to incorporate a granny annex, a new entrance area, utility room, and a much larger kitchen and family living space.

The aim was to create a bright, spacious and welcoming environment that worked well for everyday living as well as entertaining. Careful thought was given to how the new areas connected with the existing cottage so that the extension felt like a natural part of the home.

The finished result is a warm and practical living space that enhances the property while maintaining the character and charm of the original building.
