Westering

New Build Home | Yorkshire Dales

Westering is a bespoke new build property in the Yorkshire Dales, where Faraday Construction managed the project from start to finish.

Working closely with both the clients and the architect, the aim was to create a high-quality home that respected its rural setting while incorporating modern construction methods and energy-efficient technology.

Sustainability was an important part of the project, with the property incorporating solar panels and an air source heat pump to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.

The choice of materials was also key to ensuring the building sat naturally within its surroundings. Locally reclaimed sandstone was used across much of the exterior, giving the property character and a strong connection to the local landscape. This was complemented by an acrylic rendered finish on the remaining walls to create a clean and contemporary look.

The result is a thoughtfully designed home that blends traditional materials with modern performance — perfectly suited to life in the Yorkshire Dales.
